The Dengie Hundred/Brackenbank
The Dengie Hundred/Brackenbank
Blackwater member Denzy Hundred's solo debut LP.
The debut solo album from Densey Hundred, one half of London's Blackwater. Navigation, a slow-motion synth-pop LP, received rave reviews from cult record shops Monorail, All Night Flight and World of Echo, and was included in their best of 2021 reviews.
Named after a clifftop cabin overlooking Whitsand Bay in a 'forgotten corner' of Cornwall, 'Brackenbank' is the first in a new relationship between long-distance lovers living in London and the South West. It depicts several weeks. The lustful vocals ebb and flow towards drones and dub-soaked drum machines, evoking the sounds of heartbeats, train rails, boat rigs, and ferry chains.
The electronic sonic atmosphere of Brackenbank, made up of sounds recorded in strange places like the sea, rocks and sky, was treated on the Great Western Railway lines that The Dengie Hundred shuttled to and from. , I am thinking about it later. Kingsand, Cawsand, Eddystone, Firestone, the album's grid references are both geographical and emotional, as a trance pulsates from a place you can trace the map of The Rame, Cornwall's 'least known' peninsula. We offer love songs and instrumentals.
Brackenbank was mastered by Carim Clasmann and cut for vinyl by Stefan Betke (aka Pole).
