Problem socks are made from Amni Soul ECO® the first biodegradable polyamide yarn in the world! What does it mean? It means that if these socks are buried in an anaerobic environment after 5 years there is no trace left! This means that the socks are eliminated from the planet in around just five years, unlike other fibres which take decades to decompose. Moreover, just like other biodegradable products, after being landfilled, decomposes into organic matter (biomass) and biogas which help to provide new resources for the environment, as well as to produce energy from waste. We are currently waiting for certification from the yarn manufacturers so that we can put it on every pack of socks.
