"Cavempt = C.E"グラフィックデザイナー・イラストレーター・DJとして活躍するスケートシングがToby Feltwell,菱山豊と共に2011年にスタート。ブランド名は、フィリップ・K・ディックの著書＜ユービック(UBIK)＞に登場する女性タトゥー“Caveat Emptor”（ラテン語で“買い手が品質の危険性を負う”の意）に由来。

"Cavempt = C.E. Skate Thing, a graphic designer, illustrator, and DJ, started the brand with Toby Feltwell and Yutaka Hishiyama in 2011. The brand name is derived from the female tattoo "Caveat Emptor" (Latin for "the buyer assumes the risk of quality") that appears in Philip K. Dick's book "UBIK". (Latin for "the buyer assumes the risk of quality").
